JOHN Good Shipping, one of the UK's largest independent shipping companies, has become the latest line to relocate to the new logistics centre at DP World London Gateway, in a bid to increase efficiencies for its clients and further develop its ship agency and freight forwarding activities in London and the southeast.
The move into 465-square-metre high-tech office space comes as the company is consolidating its Brentwood and Tilbury offices as part of its goal to create a larger, more streamlined central hub at DP World London Gateway port and logistics park, where it will offer warehousing and other value-added services, including customs clearance for freight forwarding.
"Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of officially opening our brand new logistics centre and I am pleased to announce that the building is already 80 per cent full. This is great news as we have plans to expand and we are now talking to potential clients about phase two of the development," said DP World chairman Sultan Ahmed Bin Slayer.
