THE Jacksonville Port Authority is on track to top last year's record-setting container throughput of 1.3 million TEU in its current fiscal year that runs from October 1-September 30, 2018.
In the fiscal year through August, JAXPORT's box traffic is up 20 per cent when factoring into the results volumes handled by private terminals.
JAXPORT set a new monthly container throughput record in August, moving 115,700 TEU. The previous monthly box volume record of 115,300 TEU was achieved in December 2017, reported AJOT.
