Istanbul Sea Buses Corp. (IDO) has signed acooperation protocol with the National Ferries Company of Oman.The protocol was signed by IDO Director-General Ahmet Paksoy and Omani National Ferries Company CEO Mehdi Al Abdurwani during a meeting of theInterferry in New York.
Under the protocol, IDO will provide the Omani National Ferries Company withconsultancy services including training of personnel, creation of selling andmarketing methods, development of quality management systems and socialresponsibility projects.Earlier, IDO signed similar agreements with Egypt and Dubai.Istanbul Deniz Otobusleri A.S. was founded in 1987 by Istanbul MetropolitanMunicipality in order to provide alternate commuting services for residents inTurkey's biggest city.Currently, IDO operates on 19 lines and serving 31 points with 10 fastferries, 25 sea buses and 17 conventional vehicle-passenger ferries.
