The german inland tanker "Alina", who grounded on a sandbank on the Elbe in front of the Zollenspieker nature reserve on Wednesday afternoon, was freed during floods. According to the fire brigade, there was no damage to the ship's hull, reported NDR 90.3 on Thursday. No one had been hurt. The "Alina" is now in a shipyard. The 85-meter-long inland waterway vessel was unloaded as it drove from the lock to Hamburg and suddenly ran out of the fairway. About 500 meters east of Zollenspieker the ship then ran on a sandbank. According to the ship's guide, the steering system was defective. According to a spokesman for the fire brigade, no fuel such as oil or diesel had flown out.
