HUTCHISON Ports Pakistan broke another record after a container terminal handled 9,334 TEU in a total time of 36.92 hours, reports Karachi's Oye Yeah News.
'We are delighted to be in a position to accomplish previously unheard-of milestones and aim to continue breaking new ground as the country heads towards a more prosperous future,' said Hutchison Ports Pakistan general manager Syed Rashid Jamil.
'The dream of transforming Karachi into a prime South Asian hub for trade and transport activities is closer to becoming reality than ever before,' said Capt Jamil.
The port is situated at the bay of the Keamari Groyne basin, providing convenient access to ships entering Karachi.
