GERMANY's Hapag-Lloyd and Japan's Singapore-based Ocean Network Express (ONE) will introduce the MIAX - ONE will call it AIM - service (Middle East-India-Africa Express) which will offer weekly direct sailings between Arabian Gulf, India, Colombo, La Reunion, South Africa and West Africa.
These markets will be well linked to Hapag-Lloyd's network via the ports of Jebel Ali and Colombo, offering competitive connectivity to all other markets.
The MIAX/AIM will be jointly operated with ONE composing of nine 2,800-TEU vessels with five ships being deployed by Hapag-Lloyd.
The rotation will be Jebel Ali, Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Colombo, Durban, Cape Town, Tema, Tincan, Apapa, Cape Town, Durban and back to Jebel Ali.
