The "Hanjin Vienna", anchored off Victoria’s waterfront since September 2016, has been put up for sale. The crew was fine, being regularly supplied with provisions, and crew changes were being carried out according to schedule. The owners of the vessel in the meantime have decided to sell the ship. Negotiations with potential buyers were ongoing after the financial collapse of South Korea’s Hanjin Shipping company. The "Hanjin Vienna" was one of the two Hanjin vessels that have been in B.C. waters. The "Hanjin Scarlet" was also stranded by the bankruptcy and initially moored off Prince Rupert. She was subsequently moved south to anchor by Pender and Saturna Islands. In January it was believed the ship was heading home, but that did not happen. It was now moored off Cherry Point on Vancouver Island. Both vessels has had the cargo taken off in port in Vancouver and were being operated with a skeleton crew.
