GREENCARRIER Freight Services has established a joint venture with Hecksher, a provider of multi-modal transport solutions and project logistics to customers in Scandinavia and across Europe with a particularly long history in the Danish market.
The aim of the tie up is to combine mutual strengths, customer values and synergies based around Greencarrier's existing footprint in the global logistics market with its own office network in the Nordic and Baltic countries, Britain, Poland and China.
'The joint venture is line with our business strategy to grow and expand within our home markets and to stay top of mind for sustainable transport solutions. Hecksher completes us in a very good way and is a great cultural fit for us,' said Greencarrier owner Stefan Bjork.
'We are very pleased with this agreement, which will help lift the activities to the next level. In the future we will in all ways stand in a significantly more competitive situation and offer our customers a wide range of major business benefits including far more sophisticated IT systems,' said Hecksher owner Lars Bertelsen.
'It has been important to find a Scandinavian partner, with the same ethical value set, and we are really looking forward to this collaboration,' he said.
