Great Eastern Shipping Company has taken delivery of the 2015 built Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier 'Jag Amol', with a deadweight tonnage of about 81,843, reported Mumbai's Capital Market.
The vessel was contracted for purchase in Q2 FY26 and has been financed entirely through internal accruals, the company said.
With this addition, great Eastern's owned fleet now totals 39 vessels, comprising 26 tankers - including 5 crude carriers, 17 product tankers and 4 LPG carriers - and 13 dry bulk carriers. The aggregate capacity stands at 3.13 million dwt.
In Q2 FY26, the company also contracted to acquire one secondhand Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier and one secondhand Suezmax crude tanker. It has also agreed to sell one secondhand Suezmax crude tanker.
These three transactions - two purchases and one sale - are expected to be completed by Q3 FY26.
