Dry-bulk shipper Genco Shipping & Trading Ltd. said on Tuesday that it has taken delivery of a Supramax vessel and a Handysize vessel, both built this year.

The announcement comes one day after Genco said it took delivery of a different Supramax vessel built in 2004.
The newest ships are the Genco Bourgogne and the Genco Bay. The Genco Bourgogne is the ninth vessel delivered under a previously announced deal for 13 vessels from Setaf SAS, a unit of Bourbon SA. The Genco Bay is the is the second of five vessels Genco is taking under a five-ship deal with the Metrostar companies.
The Genco Bourgogne will be under a time charter with Setaf Saget SAS for 15 to 17.5 months at $19,900 per day. The charter is expected to begin Thursday.
The Genco Bay will work under a spot market-related time charter with Cargill International SA for 34.5 to 37.5 months, with a daily rate between $8,500 and $13,500.
Genco carries iron ore, coal, grain, steel and other goods. It has 46 dry-bulk vessels.
