Garuda Indonesia Cargo has partnered with WebCargo by Freightos to offer real-time digital booking access to freight forwarders worldwide, reports Mumbai's STAT Trade Times.
Freightos confirmed that garuda Indonesia Cargo, the cargo division of Indonesia's national airline, will provide exclusive capacity on its WebCargo platform. The move enables forwarders to book shipments instantly across major trade lanes.
Routes include Jakarta to Singapore, Tokyo Haneda, Jeddah, Shanghai and Sydney, as well as Denpasar to Tokyo Narita, Hong Kong and Sydney. The partnership targets key Southeast Asian export corridors.
Freightos CEO Zvi Schreiber said the deal ensures seamless access to busy trade routes and supports global commerce. He cited fashion and high-tech goods as sectors likely to benefit.
The collaboration boosts WebCargo's reach, giving 10,000 freight forwarder offices access to live pricing, capacity and booking tools. It reinforces Freightos' role in digitising air cargo logistics.
Garuda Indonesia CEO Wamildan Tsani said the alliance will improve service accessibility and booking efficiency. He added that digital upgrades will help meet evolving customer needs.
