The 'St. Jhudiel' (224 gt, built 1996), while en route to Tagbilaran, suffered mechanical problems with its steering wheel, in the waters off Cebu, Philippines, on July 16, 2018. The vessel was towed back to Cebu City Port. The captain was advised by the Philippine Coast Guard to file a marine protest and certificate of seaworthiness from the Maritime Industry Authority before resuming operations.
