In the morning of Nov 17, 2010, the "Colossus" ran aground on a rocky coast in the Vassiliki bay on the Ionian island of Lefkada. The ship was coming from Corinth with a 20-member crew, carrying 58 trucks and 10 drivers to Ancona, Italy. It suffered a small breach in its tanks. A tug was called from Patras with a group of divers who will examine the extent of the damage to the vessel. An oil recovery vessel from Skaramangas was also on the way to be on stand-by in the case of an oil spill. Colossus IMO 8613073, dwt 5990, built 1987, flag Malta.
