Evergreen Line, Cosco "K" Line, MOL and PIL are reorganising their joint Asia-South Africa service in this month.
Evergreen will deploy two 4,200-TEU vessels on both the FAX service, operated with Cosco as well as the ASA service, now with "K" Line, MOL and PIL.
FAX route, served by six 4,200 - 5,800-TEU ships will rotate through Shanghai starting on October 15 to Ningbo, Keelung, Singapore, Durban, Singapore and back to Shanghai.
ASA route, served by seven 4,200 - 5,800-TEU ships rotates through Kaohsiung sailing on October 9 from Kaohsiung, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Shekou, Singapore, Port Klang, Durban, Cape Town, Port Klang, Singapore and back to Kaohsiung.
This development will increase frequency of sailings on the Asia-South Africa trade from weekly to twice weekly and add Keelung, Xiamen and Port Klang to the network.
