Evergreen adds Ho Chi Minh, drops Bangkok from Taiwan-Thailand (TWT) service
TAIWAN's Evergreen Line has added a new southbound call at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to its weekly Taiwan-Thailand (TWT) service that is operated by two 1,164-TEU vessels, and removed Bangkok from the rotation.
The service calls at the new Tan Cang-Hiep Phuoc terminal that opened in Ho Chi Minh last December to relieve congestion at the main Cat Lai terminal in the city. Both terminals are operated by Saigon New Port, which is controlled by the Vietnamese navy.
The port rotation of the amended weekly TWT services is: Kaohsiung, Ho Chi Minh City, Laem Chabang, Hong Kong, Taichung, Kaohsiung, reported Alphaliner.
