Emirates SkyCargo is boosting its weekly cargo capacity across Southeast Asia, citing exponential demand from regional industries and growing export volumes, reported Manila's BusinessWorld.
The Dubai-based carrier now operates over 44 freighters, 13 charter flights, and 311 passenger flights weekly, offering more than 21,000 tonnes of cargo capacity to 25 gateways across East and Southeast Asia.
Vice president of Cargo Commercial Abdulla Alkhallafi said the expansion reflects Emirates' strategic focus on building capacity, routes and partnerships to serve booming e-commerce, manufacturing and agricultural sectors.
emirates SkyCargo highlighted the Philippines as a key market, having transported over 14,395 tonnes of goods from the country since 2024. Exports include electronics, garments, tropical fruits, seafood, pharmaceuticals and e-commerce parcels.
The company currently serves 25 gateways across 12 countries and territories, reinforcing its position as a major non-Asian air freight operator in the region.
