DANISH forwarding giant dsv has launched a new air freight charter service named 'Shanghai Star' that will operate multiple weekly round-trip flights Chicago and Shanghai henceforth.
The service aims to streamline international shipping for businesses, offering guaranteed capacity and specialised handling for oversized, hazardous, and temperature-sensitive goods, the company said.
DSV's new route is expected to support global trade by providing faster transit times and more control over deliveries.
Shanghai Star is DSV's first regularly scheduled air cargo charter to Shanghai, with capacity fully controlled by the company to minimise touchpoints.
This expansion reflects the company's strategy to strengthen its air freight network and support businesses needing time-sensitive deliveries.
'The service reinforces the strength of our air freight charter network, exemplifying our commitment to reliable and efficient cargo transport - ensuring timely deliveries and supporting global logistics with unwavering dedication,' said DSV vice president Stefan Krikken.
