All the 32 people on board the vessel `Logo Searcher' were rescued with the help of Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Saturday after it sank in the Arabian Sea near Jafrabad town of Amreli district, officials said.
Logo Searcher, a vessel hired by Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC), today sank 20 nautical miles off Jafrabad, ICG officials said.
Another vessel of GSPC, `Logo Surveyor', which was in the vicinity, came to the rescue of the crew of Logo Searcher, and picked up 27 persons.
Surveyor also called Coast Guard, which immediately sent a helicopter to locate five missing persons in a joint operation with local Port Trust.
Eventually all the five were found and rescued. It is not yet known how the vessel Logo Searcher sank, officials said.
