On July 14, 2018, at 2 p.m. the 'Dina Trader' contacted the CROSS Corsen after having suffered a power loss. The ship, coming from Brest and bound for Dunkirk, had 12 crew members on board, and was eight nautical miles southwest of Pointe Saint-Mathieu. It had a sufficient propulsion capacity left to counter the current. Because of the proximity of the coast, and the potential danger for navigation and for the coast, the emergency tug 'Abeille Bourbon' was deployed from Brest around 4:30 p.m. and reached the ship at 6:15 p.m. After the crew was unable to repair the damage, the tug was contracted by the owner to pull the 'Dina Trader' back to Brest. At 6.30 p.m. a towing connection was established. The ships arrived in port at 11.10 p.m. and the container ship was safely berthed in the commercial port.
