DHL Express has added over 300 tonnes of weekly air cargo capacity to its daily flights from Hanoi to meet rising demand from Vietnam's booming technology export sector, reports the Manila Times.
The expanded service, operating Monday to Saturday via Hong Kong, connects Vietnamese businesses to key global markets including North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The move follows double-digit growth in tech-related shipments in the first half of 2025.
Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 freighters have been deployed to support the increase. dhl Express said the added capacity reflects its ongoing review of customer needs and operational demands.
Vice president Peter Bardens said Vietnam's strategic location, skilled workforce and foreign investment inflows have made it a tech manufacturing powerhouse.
The Ministry of Information and Communications forecasts US$169.3 billion in ICT revenue for 2025, up 11.4 per cent from 2024. Hardware and electronics exports are expected to grow 12.3 per cent to $148.5 billion.
DHL Trade Atlas 2025 ranks Vietnam among the top 30 countries for trade growth and one of the top 20 high-growth markets globally. DHL Express has expanded its footprint with new facilities near Noi Bai International Airport and in western Hanoi.
These developments position DHL Express to support Vietnam's export ambitions and serve international businesses operating in the country.
