Enrute to New York, the 'Norwegian Breakaway' encountered a severe storm on Jan 4, 2018, with 4,000 passenger on board. They endured two days of ocean swells reaching 30 feet. Rooms got wet, glass was broken, and the elevator shafts were dripping water. It poured from the ceiling, and dozens of passengers gathered in the ship's atrium to sleep. The ship had encountered stronger than forecasted weather conditions due to winter storm Grayson during the return to New York from the Bahamas. All guests and crew were, however, safe. NCL sincerely apologized to its guests for these stronger than expected weather conditions and any resulting discomfort they may have experienced. Report with video: www.koat.com/arti...
