Cosco combines Greek and Turkish feeders to and from its Athens Piraeus hub
COSCO will merge its existing Adriatic and Turkey feeder services into a combined Adriatic Greece Turkey (AGT) loop, reports Alphaliner.
The service will run on a butterfly pattern centred on Cosco's Greek hub of Piraeus, calling call at Piraeus, Rijeka, Koper, Venice, Ancona,Piraeus on the Adriatic leg and at Piraeus, Thessaloniki, Istanbul-Haydarpasa, Ambarli, Gebze, Izmir, Piraeus on the Turkish leg.
Cosco's merged feeder will deploy three vessels: the 1,155-TEU Orkun Kalkavan and 1,022-TEU Reecon Emir, now deployed on the Adriatic service, and the 752-TEU Contship Eco, so far trading on the Turkey (East Med) feeder service.
