Container Ship Safety Forum, Hamburg, attracts UASC, Seaspan participation
UNITED Arab Shipping Company and Seaspan Ship Management Ltd of Vancouver have become the latest major container shipping industry players to join the Container Ship Safety Forum in Hamburg, Germany, raising the number of participants to 13.
The Forum will hold its next regular, biannual members' meeting in Hamburg from May 12 to 13. As in previous meetings the second day will be open for representatives from container shipping companies to participate as observers.
Further, the former membership of Univan Ship Management is continued by the Anglo-Eastern Univan Group from Hong Kong, following the merger of Anglo-Eastern and Univan in 2015, a release from the organisers said.
The CSSF now represents 30 per cent of the total cellular capacity of the global fleet.
