The Norwegian ferry company Color Line has acquired the “Finncarrier” and will deploy the vessel to sail six times per week between the ports of Oslo and Kiel as of January 2019. If fully utilised, some 36k ro-ro cargo units can be shipped yearly between the Norwegian and German seaports with the use of the 'Finnclipper': “The establishment of a separate ro-ro offer represents a new business area for Color Line, and is in line with our company’s growth ambitions. With our new ro-ro ship Color Line will contribute to a transfer of large quantities of goods from road to sea, and the new ro-ro ship will be an attractive alternative to the import and export businesses,” Trond Kleivdal, CEO, Color Line, commented.
