On June 2, 2018, at 5.30 a.m. the tank m/v 'Balt Flot 4', loaded with 5276 tons of heavy fuel, collided with the 'Volgo-Don 151', loaded with 5191 tons of gravel, at kilometer mark 552 on the Sheksna river. The accident happened while the ships were passing each other on reciprocal courses. The tanker sustained railings and hawsepipe damages, the cargo ship dents in the bow area. The 'Volgo Don 151' got out of the fairway after the collision and ram aground. She was refloated with the help of a tug two hours later. Both ships were anchored near the collision site for inspections and investigations.
