The bulkcarrier "Stella Cherise" was in collision with the "Spartacus" in the East China Sea near Shanghai in the morning of Jan 10, 2017. The "Spartacus" has suffered minor damage and anchored near Shanghai, while the "Stella Cherise"’s hull has been damaged and she was suffering water ingress. The Shanghai Maritime Salvage Bureau and SIPG’s tug unit Fuxing Shipping have sent ships for salvage works, which were still ongoing. The "Stella Cherise", which was en route from Zhang Jiagang to Port Hedland, has currently been stabilized and the crew evacuated.
