CMA CGM is to launch a new short sea weekly service between Southern Turkey and Black Sea.
The French shipping giant said the East Med-Black Sea Express (EMBX) will start from Wednesday, November 4, ex Mersin and described the service as a 'sustainable option aiming at fostering cold supply chain optimisation during the upcoming citrus campaign'.
CMA CGM will deploy two 900-TEU vessels, the Andante and the Dina Trader, on the EMBX with a port rotation of Mersin, Odessa, Novorossiysk, Ambarli, Piraeus and back to Mersin.
The transit time from Mersin to Odessa is 4 days, while the service between Mersin and Novorossiysk will take six days.
