China has released draft regulations on pricing for internet platforms selling goods or services, aiming to improve transparency and fairness after complaints from merchants and consumers, reports Reuters.
The National Development and Reform Commission said operators and merchants must agree and change prices through standardised means such as contracts and orders.
The draft rules require adherence to clear pricing regulations, greater transparency of pricing policies and prompt disclosure of fee changes to allow public oversight.
Authorities are seeking public comment on the proposals.
