HONG KONG's Cathay Pacific Airways expects to record a consolidated profit of HK$2.3 billion (US$293.02 million) for 2018, sharply reversing the 2017 loss of HK$1.2 billion.
'The cargo business was strong. Capacity, yield and load factors increased. The company's transformation programme has had a positive impact,' a release commenting on the unaudited results from the airline said.
It continued: 'The passenger business benefited from capacity growth, a focus on customer service and improved revenue management. Load factors were sustained and yield improved despite competitive pressures.'
