On March 6, 2018, at 3.30 p.m. the 'Việt Thuận 68' was in collision with the 'Phuong Linh 16' in pos. 20 ° 20'00N 107 ° 05'00E off Haiphong. The Vietnam Coastal Information System (STDH) immediately sought to contact the ship but received no response. The 'Petrolimex 20' and 'Great Dolphin' were near the area of the accident site and were asked to assist. It turned out that the 'Phuong Linh 162 had transferred pumps onto the 'Việt Thuận 68' and taken in tow to the port. At 5.11 p.m. the 'Great Dolphin' reached the ships but could not help as the ship's pump was broken. The 'Great Dolphin' escorted the Vietnamese ships. At 7.25 p.m. the TTM Systems contacted the 'Haian Time' and requested it to assist. At 5.42 p.m. the 'Việt Thuận 68' sank. All nine crew members were safely evacuated.
