THE British International Freight Association (BIFA) has created a dedicated mini website to support companies that train apprentices by providing them with a variety of valuable resources, including case studies containing tips from BIFA members and their apprentices.

BIFA's training development manager Carl Hobbis was quoted as saying in a report by London's Air Cargo News: 'Having been actively involved in the creation of the apprenticeship, BIFA has committed to promote the availability of the new apprenticeship and encourage employers and potential entrants to consider this apprenticeship as a route into the industry.

'After meeting with various employers, BIFA wanted to provide a support system that means its members have the accessible resources to enable them to confidently reach out and engage with local communities. The website aims to be a basis of materials to support them in doing so.'

The development of this microsite follows last year's introduction of the International Freight Forwarding Specialist apprenticeship.
