The Piraeus Port Authority was informed in the morning hours of Aug 11, 2018, by the captain of the 'Agia Marina Aiginis' that during a scheduled service from the port of Souvala to Piraeus waves had damaged the port side anchor clamp, resulting in the loss of anchor in the sea. The ship sailed safely to the port of Piraeus with 11 crew members and 50 passengers on board. The port authority of Argosaronikos detained the ship for repairs, and the next scheduled sailing had to be cancelled. The passengers and vehicles were forwarded to their destination with other ships.
