GERMANY's Frankfurt airport's air cargo volumes remained largely flat in August after recording a year-on-year increase of just 0.8 per cent to 182,589 tonnes.
August's marginal improvement follows a 6.4 per cent decrease in July's traffic to 75,960 tonnes on the back of a reduction in the freighter flights and less belly freight on passenger aircraft.
In the first eight months of the year air freight and air mail throughputs at Europe's leading air cargo hub declined 0.7 per cent to 1.4 million tonnes, reported London's Air Cargo News.
