RELATIVES of missing Second Officer Vladislav Maslov, 24, of the 13,800-TEU Thalassa Patris are trying to find out what has happened to him after he boarded the ship in Singapore on November 18 bound for Suez with an December 2 ETA.

Relatives couldn't contact him since Nov 22, he was declared missing that day, when the ship was sailing in Indian ocean east of Colombo, reported Kiev's Maritime Bulletin, which specialises in marine casualties.



According to Mr Maslov's sister Eugenia statement, the ship kept sailing and didn't interrupt the voyage, and there was no search and rescue.



But according to ship's track, the vessel turned back to a position where most probably, seaman went overboard, and searched the area for eight hours, and resumed sailing at a reduced speed still engaged in search and rescue.



The ship resumed voyage full speed at around 1115 UTC Nov 24. So far, there's no trace of foul play or cover-up attempts. Anyone having any information asked to contact seaman's sister Eugenia via Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/savischeva.e/



The Singapore-flagged ship is managed by Eenesel Pte Ltd of Singapore and is deployed on Line Mediterranean Services 2(MD2) - Far East-Mediterranean.
