The 'Trans Future 7' assisted in the rescue of the six crew members of the yacht 'Hollywood Boulevard', which took part in the Sydney to Hobart race in December, and began taking on water in seas 150 kilometres east of Flinders Island on Jan 14, 2018, about 8:45 a.m. The Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria and the car carrier on its way from Melbourne to Auckland joined the rescue effort after the crew of the 16-metre yacht activated its emergency beacon when it began taking on water following a collision with a large fish.
