A supply ship moved to the 'Sarost 5' to supply it with food and water as well as 40 mattresses donated by the Tunisian Red Cross to replace the straw mats on which 40 rescued migrants were sleeping since July 15, 2018. The people rescued were between 17 and 36 years old and among them were two pregnant women. They were from Egypt, Bangladesh, Cameroon, Senegal, Guinea, Cote d'Ivoire, Sierra Leone and Ambazonia. The 40 migrants were rescued after five days adrift on July 15 off the coast of Zarzis, in the south of Tunisia. The migrants were resisting to dock in a Tunisian port.
