The green sea turtle that was staying on the Akyatan lagoon in the town of Karataş was equipped with a transmitter that would allow it to be tracked via satellite for information about migration route and feeding area.
On June 5, the immigration route of the female sea turtle, on which satellite dispenser was mounted before being damaged, was observed instantaneously.
It is determined that the sea turtle which is followed by 48 days is now in Egypt. The 2-month journey of the sea turtle was also shared on the Twitter account of the World Wildlife Fund.
It was stated that the green sea tortoise shed light on the migration route, the duration, the nutritional arrangement and the conservation work with the donor.
