The British female passenger Kay Longstaff, aged 47, of the 'Norwegian Star' was saved off the Croatian coast by a Navy ship 10 hours after she fell or jumped from the stern of the ship on Aug 19. 2018. The ship was enroute from Pula to Venice when she went over board in the Adriatic Sea short before midnight on Aug 18. The authorities deployed the patrol ship 'Cavtat' and a PC-9 search plane which searched for her throughout the night. At 9.45 a.m. the following day she was found in a distance of 1.300 meters from the position where she got lost and taken to hospital in fairly good condition.
