a three-storey building. The third floor
is 1530 m2 and it hosts the Operations
Center at the south-west corner. The oper-
ations center consists the brain of the
building.. Here, electronic equipments,
ECDIS, and internal and external commu-
nication, such as electronic devices, such
as VHF is located. Radio Officer will be
working here.
Behind the Operations Center, there is
compartment of the secretariat,separated
by glass.
At the other side of Operations Center,
Chief Pilot’s Office and Chart Room is
located, again seperated by glass.
At the south east corner of the third-
floor there are cabins for Pilots and radio
operators, each has the shower, toilet,
bedroom, desk, wardrobe, TV and a mini
fridge . Also electricity and climate con-
trol rooms, and two rooms for housekeep-
ing are on this floor.
At east and the west side of the court-
yard, the second floor is located, which
consists od 1369 m2, second floor, and
this floor also has pilot cabins with same
features as the third floor.. Light, sound
system and simultaneous translation room
to serve to the conference room are also
located on this floor. Also electricity and
climate control rooms, and two rooms for
housekeeping are on this floor.
Ground floor is 1,725 m2 and it consists
of “entrance hall”, “Reception Desk”,
“foyer”, a “Dining Room” that can serve
65 seating; , “Recreation Hall” modern
“kitchen”, “service staff, food and rest
room “,”service staff dressing room and
showers “, “conference room “ with 200
seats,” Management Meeting Room and
the Library “,” Internet room”, and a “
Seminar Room “’ with a capacity of 50
people are on this room.
The building has 2,340 m2 in the base-
ment. In the basement: there is a capacity
of 30 cars “Parking”, “archive”, “Laundry
Room”, a bouler room with boiler, pump,
pressure tank, 60 tons Water Tank, Water
Treatment Facilities, Ventilation and Air
Conditioning Installations, “Vacuum
Cleaner Room “, “Electrical Panel Room
“, a ‘Food Store’ with a lift connecting it
to kitchen; a car area wash area.
The Building has both the “Intelligent
Building” and “Green Building” features.
Entrance to sections of the building is
restricted by a “card system” enabling
only authorized persons to enter. The
lights and climatization systems are acti-
vated by placing this card to the holder,
just like in the hotel rooms.
The heating, cooling, ventilation and
electrical systems works on a basis of
smart building automation, accordingly
with the given values on computer screens.
The inner and outer air settings are set
automatically, suppressing unnecessary
fuel usage and provide savings.
The temperature in the accomodations
is controlled by a thermostat system
by means of wall buttons and inside air
is supported by air conditioned fresh air.
External thermal insulation of the build-
ing have been conducted by the method of
bundling. The building surrounded by an
external thermal barrier.All window and
door systems are made of aliminum with
heat barrier. At windows, anti-reflective
tempered color, inside high - low heat bar-
rier glasses were used.
Computers and other electronic systems
are protected against power failure by
means of an UPS system. Also, there is
a generator set which is activated within
a few seconds on power failure and able
to meet the whole building’s electrical
capacity.
The whole building equipped with
“led” lighting technology provide savings
up to 30% on electricity.
On the roof of the building, solar panels
placed which produce hot water which is
able to meet an important part of the need.
Again, on the roof, solar energy panels
placed and generating electricity of 15
kW / h .
For garden watering and car washing
rain water tank is used and helping to pro-
tect the environment.
Through all these features, carbon emis-
sions of the building is reduced.
All cabins, corridors and other areas
close to the parts of the walls with tile lid
placed in the slots for a vacuum cleaner
hose and enables easy and quiet cleaning
at building interiors.
All the building and its gardens are
covered by cctv security cameras with
night vision, which allows for a 24-hour
recording.
And building is equiped with all fire
alarm system and fire alarm system.
Control of the fire alarm system and
CCTV system is at the Operations Center.
There is a tspecial tube system operating
with air pressure between the Operations
Center and Entrance Hall; with this sys-
tem; Radio Officer can send the ‘Ship
Information Form’ to the Pilot, and Pilot
can send the Operation Cenrtre his ‘Pilot
Bill’ on his return.
