THE 6,700 TEU MOL Maneuver has collided with the 3,800-TEU Zhen He, while on its way to Shenzhen-Yantian from Singapore and southeast of Hong Kong, MOL president Koichi Muto announced.
The Japanese shipping line said none of the crew on the two vessels was injured in the crash on February 22 and no oil leak has been observed. The MOL Maneuver is capable of sailing under its own power. The carrier said it was also investigating the situation on the other ship, which has not identified any injured persons or oil leakage.
The 302-metre long containership had a crew of 23 and was deployed on the Europe-Asia route.
