A 197-meter-long dry cargo ship called M / V Global Laguna was fired at the MMK Port in İskenderun. Med Marine, which provides guidance and tugboat services to the region, intervened in the fire immediately by the instructions of the Port Authority.

There was a fire panic on the ship where scrap relief was being unloaded at İskenderun MMK Port. A fire broke out on the Panamanian-flagged ship named Global Laguna, while anloading the cargo of scrap at MMK Port, one of the longest ports in the Iskenderun Gulf. The fire was  extinguished from the shore and sea which the reason had not yet been determined.

It was learned that the ongoing mission of extinguishing and cooling was applied to the whip which arrived from Terneuzen Port of the Netherlands with a cargo of 45 thousand tons of scrap.
