THE air freight conference to be held on the side lines of the UK's Farnborough International Airshow 2018 (FIA18) on July 16-18 will focus on the future of air cargo and cargo technology.
A 1,000 square metre cargo village will host the conference that is being sponsored by Volga Dnepr and CargoLogicAir and will bring together exhibitors, including airports, charter brokers, logistics specialists and security services under one roof.
Industry experts and thought leaders are set to discuss and explore many of the issues affecting this fast-growing industry, from the use of drones through to delivering cargo to remote locations, London's Air Cargo News reported.
The conference will be followed by an aircraft tour and flying display.
The panel discussion will look at new routes to market, the future of unmanned aircraft and will feature contributions from Natilus, Dronamics and Falcon Drones Technology.
An Airbus speaker will address real-life applications, followed by a discussion on developing cargo aircraft by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) Bedek Group, and Hybrid Air Vehicles will address the topic of delivering cargo to inaccessible regions.
Farnborough International head of sales Simon Ford said: 'It's clear that the cargo industry is undergoing a major period of transition, from unprecedented growth and emerging technologies, through to increasing need for freighter aircraft.
'The Farnborough International Airshow has an unrivalled global attendance. There is nowhere more appropriate to exhibit to a target audience or to have the much-needed discussions about the issues affecting the cargo industry and its future.'
