Cargo vessel had engine breakdown in the Strait of Istanbul
In the morning hours, a Maltese-bound cargo ship had engine trouble at the Northern entrance of the Strait of Istanbul. The ship was towed to anchorage by connecting a rope to the tugboat, Kurtarma 3, of Turkish Coastal Safety.

In the morning hours, a Maltese-bound cargo ship had engine trouble at the Northern entrance of the Strait of Istanbul. The ship was towed to anchorage by connecting a rope to the tugboat, Kurtarma 3, of Turkish Coastal Safety.Engine trouble occurred off Sarıyer shortly after the Maltese-flagged "Andre Michel 1" cargo ship, which was on the way to Tunisia from Black sea port of of Kherson , entered the Istanbul Strait. The captain reported the incident to the Coastal Safety Directorate. Upon notice, the "Kurtarma 3" tugboat was sent to the scene. Then the defective ship was connected to the rope and towed to Buyukdere emergency anchorage.
