UK: CTruk Works on Third Vessel for Offshore Turbine Services

The second in a trio of CTruk 20-tonne payload multi-purpose catamarans, ordered by Offshore Turbine Services for deployment at Lincs wind farm, was named in Brightlingsea.

The second in a trio of CTruk 20-tonne payload multi-purpose catamarans, ordered by Offshore Turbine Services for deployment at Lincs wind farm, was named in Brightlingsea.

CTruk technicians and staff joined the owners on board the 20T MPC, ‘Captain P’, for the traditional blessing and bottle smash, followed by a launch party at a local wine bar.

With two CTruk vessels now operational, Offshore Turbine Services inked the deal for a third before the second even hit the water, being thoroughly convinced of the design’s flexibility and fuel economies gained from its lightweight construction.

Their crew members, who have collective experience of both Windcat and South Boats craft, laud CTruk vessels’ handling and manoeuvrability, as well as their ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to perform numerous functions.

Work has now started on this third vessel at CTruk’s Brightlingsea base.
