BELGIUM's Prince Philippe, along with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and European Affairs Didier Reynders and accompanying delegates have visited NYK's head office in Tokyo.

The dignitaries met with NYK chairman Koji Miyahara, president Yasumi Kudo, and board counsellor Takao Kusakari. NYK Group company representatives were also in attendance and included Yusen Logistics chairman Shunichi Yano and Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) president Tetsufumi Otsuki.

Mr Kudo offered his appreciation for the support of NYK's businesses in Belgium and stressed the group's desire to strengthen its automobile terminal, bulk shipping, and logistics businesses in the European nation, a company statement said.

According to comments made by Prince Philippe, the contribution made to the Belgian economy and the employment brought to the country by the NYK Group have resulted in greater friendship between Japan and Belgium.
