ASIA Australia Discussion Agreement (AADA) has announced its member carriers will reduce the bunker surcharge to US$625 per TEU and $1,250 per FEU for dry and refrigerated containers for services from Japan, Korea, China , Hong Kong and Taiwan to ports in Australia from July 7.

AADA said in a statement that this revised bunker surcharge reflects "the recent decrease in the price of oil at Hong Kong and South Korea."

AADA is a voluntary discussion forum of ocean carriers offering services from north and east Asia to destinations in Australia. Its members include ANL, CSCL, Cosco, Hamburg Sud, Hanjin, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM), "K" Line, MSC, MOL, NYK and OOCL.
