Southern Wind Shipyard, few days ago, launched and masted the SW 102 Ds hull No 1. This is the first unit of the brand new SW 102 DS project, SY Almagores II. SW 102 DS is once again signed by Nauta Design (general design, deck and interior design) and Farr Yacht Design (naval architecture, sail plan and appendages).

The 31.42 mt LWL offers significant advantages while sailing in any condition and even steaming, while the aft flat hull bottom is a promise of high performances and increased stability especially in reaching conditions.

The yacht Almagores II will complete her sea trials in the Table Bay waters, and will leave South Africa to the Med, shortly. She will be officially presented as a world premiére during the forthcoming Monaco Yacht Show.

The yacht Atalante, SW 102 hull No 2 is due for launch on December 2012.

ABOUT SW 102 DS

The SW 102 DS project was developed on the basis of the extraordinary experience that Southern Wind Shipyard gained in building 13 SW 100 , 1 SW 110 and 1 SW 94 in just 6 years and which have set the supremacy of the shipyard in the 100 footers league.

SW 102 aims to offer a completely new and modern option in the range between the SW 100 and SW 110 models, representing the best of them in terms of volumes and performances ratio.
