Thursday, 19.Apr.2012, 15:38 (GMT+3)

As trend.az reports, the second phase of the project on Kazakh Aktau Port expansion to the north has been completed.

A 500 meter-long breakwater structure was built in the Aktau Port within the second phase of the project.

The Aktau Port expansion project will double the port’s capacity. Following the completion of the project the port will be able to transship 3 million tons of dry cargo per year.

In the third phase dredging work will be implemented in the port and approach channels. Within the final fourth phase it is supposed to create three dry cargo berths with an additional port infrastructure.
