Greek sailors working on passenger ships in the domestic network April 10 began a two-day strike against government reforms, leaving ferries at anchor in ports all over the country ahead of the Orthodox Easter holiday, causing chaos among travellers at the this traditionally busy time and hitting hoteliers and agriculturalists hard. Greek Orthodox Easter this year falls on April 15.
