In response to changing market conditions, Hamburg Süd and Aliança have decided to restructure their service between North Europe and East Coast South America.

The new service configuration will operate with seven 7,100 TEU “Santa” class vessels. These vessels are purpose-built for this trade and feature 1,600 reefer plugs.

The port rotation of the revised service will be as follows: Rotterdam – Tilbury – Hamburg – Antwerp – Le Havre – Sepetiba – Santos – Paranagua – Buenos Aires – Montevideo – Rio Grande – Itapoa – Santos – Tangier – Rotterdam

In addition to the above and in order to offer complete port coverage northbound, Paranagua, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and Pecem will be served through slot arrangements.

The new configuration, which starts in mid-April, will provide reliable weekly port-coverage with competitive transit times and connections to the Hamburg Süd network serving Eastern and Western Mediterranean and Middle East destinations via the hub port Tangier.
